The British Publishing Company will be continuing with its series of Power 100 publications with the fourth edition of the Global Britain Power 100 list. This exceptionally high quality publication will feature the final Power 100 individuals and a profile of the outstanding organisations who are the undisputed leaders within Global Britain.

LONDON POWER 100

London is the UK’s global powerhouse and one of the worlds leading international cities. The rise of London’s banking and financial services and of the business, professional and hospitality services sector has been a powerful driver of London’s growth. Its world class tourist and creative sectors are second to none and its craftsmanship is world renowned.

BIRMINGHAM POWER 100

Birmingham was the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution earning titles such as ‘Workshop of the World’ and ‘City of a Thousand Trades.’ This early industrial heritage has now led to groundbreaking developments in hydrogen fuel cell, electric and hybrid vehicle technology. In addition the West Midlands is now one of the strongest automotive industries in the world. There are more than 2,000 specialist automotive firms in the region, employing close to 50,000 people in vehicle manufacturing and just fewer than 160,000 in the wider advanced engineering sector.

MANCHESTER POWER 100

Manchester is at the heart of the North and the Northern Powerhouse. The Northern Powerhouse is a cluster of cities in the North of England. Together they form a ‘super’ economy of almost £350 billion, similar in size to that of London. It includes Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield and Newcastle, all of which are close to each other, creating one of the largest urban economies in the world, bigger than the individual economies of Taiwan, Sweden and Denmark.
